Features Tiroler Lieder
With around 150 songs, the Tyrolean songs app includes songs that Tyroleans, especially marksmen, sing at those comradely get-togethers that also make up a part of Tyroleanness.
"Let the Sagittarius live happily and freely," says the Schützenlied, and it is precisely the songs that belong to that happy life.
It was not the intention to bring together all the songs sung in Tyrol, many of which have already been forgotten, but rather to offer a selection of songs that are often sung in rifle circles.
Often only the melody is known, often only the first verse. This app was created so that several verses with the correct melody can be sung in a larger group.
Some songs, created during the fascist period between 1918 and 1943, are unknown to todays youth, are no longer learned and are in danger of being lost.
They were deliberately included in this app.
This perhaps takes into account the second part of the song "The shooter lives happy and free" and reminds us of the words of Pericles (481 BC): "Happiness is the fruit of freedom and freedom is the fruit of bravery .”
